The company is an immigrant orchestra as hardly no one is born in Falun, the capital of Dalarna County. Although many of us have family connections to Dalarna and the position in Easter Dalarna gives us many local and personal contacts with tradition keeping fiddlers.
This position explains why the main point of our wild grown repertoir can be placed in the region of the church parishes Rättvik, Boda, Bingsjö and Ore and then especially their "polskor", this style of "ruralized" reminiscenses of continental renaissance music.
